The Center for Great Expectations is the only licensed agency in New Jersey to provide housing and treatment for both adolescents and adult women who are pregnant and addicted to drugs and alcohol, and who want to carry their babies to term.

Each resident forges a partnership with the clinical staff as she becomes empowered to make positive decisions and prepares to be an excellent parent and create a loving family environment for her children. Additionally, each woman is also educated in life skills such as managing a budget, pursuing career opportunities, and running a household.

Combined with the staff's commitment and expertise, our unique, comprehensive, and individualized approach includes prenatal care, spiritual and life skills development, substance abuse treatment, intensive case management, counseling (individual, group, and family), and discharge planning.

An important component of sustaining and maintaining long-term change is discovering and nurturing each resident's own spirituality. While not based on any one religion, spirituality at the Center is based on a 12-step program.

Our staff members are CADC certified and hold Master's Degrees in counseling.
